Not sure about the Canons but chipped carts have been worth it when I've bought refilled HPs. Keeps the printer from harassing you about the cartridge being empty for its entire life as they report a full cart and it counts down from there as it would with a factory cart.

received OOS email after I bought two online. Probably need to go to store to buy it

"While processing your order (Staples order number listed above), we realized that item 477868, Canon Pixma MX892 Wireless All-in-One, is not currently in stock. We value every order we receive and we apologize with the utmost sincerity for any inconvenience this may cause. We have not billed you for this item.“

BTW, does Continuous Ink System work with this printer, I can find some on ebay, which is expensive than epson 837's cis

Did not work for me at Berkeley Staples store. Cashier did the price match, while snoopy co-cashier asked what he was price matching. Then i showed him the coupon on my phone. He said "just let me check with steve real quick." Manager Steve told cashier i was unable to use the coupon with the price match. Bummer. Definitely a YMMV deal!

You can use ciss but I recommend using carts assuming you get printer. A lot less hassle since you don't have to refill and unless you print large volume I hear ciss tends to clog up the printhead eventually. Non oem carts are very cheap less than 1 dollar per cart when you purchase a couple sets.

My kiosk order that I did on Sunday shows oos too hope they ship it to me eventually.

Thanks. I got one from the Greenbelt, MD store in the afternoon. They had one more left other than the store model. At the counter, the manager had to come in. He went inside to authenticate the coupon, came back and accepted it.

Did not work for me, either. Similar to above post, cashier did the price match. Then when I showed the coupon, the other cashier went to get the manager. Manager said no. But when I explained to him that it's different than the instant discount online, he called an 800 number to verify. Then he said the person on the other line said they could not do both pricematch and coupon. Either or but not both.
