Usually most models I've seen in the ~$500 don't have it, or if they do, they sacrifice it for crappy specs. Shame. Looks nice. I guess you could just use the touchscreen in the dark if you want, but I need a backlit keyboard since I'm a freaking night owl that does all my work at 2am in the morning.

great little notebook. i had the staples version with a 3rd gen processor, no bluetooth but with an external cd/dvd drive. the touchscreen is much better than expected for such a cheap price but what impressed me the most is the sturdy build quality. coming off a typical hp notebook with a plasticky cover, this one is like a rock.

This is a great little laptop.. bought it 2 weeks ago for $449 and got a price match in difference

Benchmark on the 2nd gen is 1768.
Benchmark on the 3rd gen is 2267 for the extra $50. Pretty decent jump. |

Hi guys,Excellent information provided in this thread. The current model on sale at Best Buy effective March 10 is: Q200E-BS13T08 This number is different than the Q200E described at the beginning of this thread and is indicated as having a gen 3 processor. Does anybody see any other differences that may make this a good purchase? Some similar models at other retailers are indicated as having instant on. Does this one have it? Thank you in advance. |
