I also got my tv today, waited 5 hours for it to warm up, started the 100 hr "d-nice" cycling, and the tv went dark after about 20 minutes. At that point the power light started blinking and the remote couldn't get it to come back on so I unplugged it and when I plugged it back in it turned on by itself. So the problem kept repeating and I called Viera Concierge support sure that they would be able to send someone out. The idiot I talked to told me that since I could get it to turn on by unplugging it that it was not eligible for a service call, seriously I can't believe she told me that. So I asked 2 more times to make sure I had heard right. One of the stupidest things I have ever heard.
So I called Sears to have them exchange it and was told that model was not available and would a different model be okay. So I took a shot in the dark and told her that the TC-P50GT50 would work and she is setting it up. Not happy I got a bad set but if I can upgrade then I think I might be okay.
Are you guys using a USB flash drive to run these 100+ hour break in sessions? I've had the TV since the first. I haven't watched anything other than full screen for the most part and have the contract and brightness low. I do notice that when I first turn the tv on I can see Samsung in the screen. It goes away after a minute or two and doesn't always happen. Should I be worried?
