I got 4 sets. One at $43.74 and 3 at $39.37. The price is supposed to be adjusted on the first one and i am supposed to get 10% off the last 3 but i have my doubts weather or not the adjustments will happen. I got a email denying the first adjustment because it said the set was purchased in the store, which it was not. Then the rep tried to make me feel bad asking about $4 adjustment which i was already promised at the same time i ordered the 3 sets for $39.37. She said, you are asking for a adjustment on a set that is now $157. I wasn't too happy with that and i got the feeling they are making false promises about adjusting the prices. It seems the adjustments have to be approved and then they find a excuse not to issue them. I guess they want phone calls every day if they don't come through.

I always do the online chat for price adjustment now and haven't had any problems. In fact I just did one this week for $5. I tried it other ways at first with little success but chat works so far.

No offense guys... but you'll really call Sears every day or go through the hassle of returning these tools? My time is worth more than the few bucks compensated. You're getting a great deal either way...

More than a few bucks in my case, I was charged the full price $174.99. I saw it advertised for $43.xx added it to my cart and when it came up full price I called and Sears said go ahead and order it and they would adjust.. Of course I can return it and I will if needed..

Update: Called customer service today and someone local actually answered and processed my $131.25 adjustment.

I got another one delivered a few days ago and some of the sockets in that set have the "k" stamp and are really nice. The fit and finish on those ones is much better than on the rest marked "G2". So if those sets have some of those mixed in I would switch 'em out and make a nice set for yourself.

Never heard of this before, my set has some of each. What do you mean switch em out? At the store?

just went to use the small ratchet for the first time (attaching a new toilet seat in a rental unit bathroom).

....and snap. ratchet mechanism stripped out from tightening a molded plastic nut fastener. LOL

i don't want to take the ratchet back to a Sears store bc i know they will replace it with a generic made in china one (not the Industrial series). there is a 1-800 # on the contents list that came with the set. i will call that number on monday.

anyone have any experience calling that # ?

Wow, that's not good. Did you call the number yet? I'm curious to see how these tools will be warrantied.
