I feel that this will become the new standard sale price. I do not currently need this but it is worth stock-piling as I feel this will still be usable after the release of the new system as it is still an Xbox and will still utilize Xbox Live as stated previously.

FYI, I tried to purchase on the Bestbuy website and they were charging tax. I got a gift card ( 4% reward zone points) and got $38 to cover taxes. TO my surprise, no taxes were charged in store. So i paid with my gift card and got the regular Reward zone points.

That's the most terrifying thing I think I've ever heard about someone buying these cards. Please, please, please NEVER pay more than $45 for these; on a regular basis one retailer or another has them on sale between $40-45, and then a few times a year we go through months like these where multiple retailers will run sales for $35. And of course, don't forget you can stack their duration so there's never any harm in stockpiling. Granted, it's unclear exactly how the upcoming new Xbox will affect the Gold Membership (if any effect at all) but popular speculation believes these subscriptions are fairly safe from major changes when it comes to the 360. |

I have like 10 games in my "to play" stack and haven't turned my Xbox on in a year. Buying those extra years didn't work out the way I planned...lol. Ah well, at least I have 104 other games that I (or my kids) have played enough. I think I paid $35/yr when I bought 3 years worth in 2011 (possibly right after Christmas 2011).

Other interests and obligations have taken most of my time. We had a new baby (plus we have 3 other kids) and that takes up a lot of time. It's kinda like smoking, if you don't do it for awhile you lose the desire to do it. But do it again once and it you're hooked all over. Plus I got into photography and arguing with strangers over the Internet. Too bad there's not a Gamerscore for that.
