With that said, I ended up skipping this deal and picking up the 32GB Asus VivoTab 10.1" Wi-Fi Windows 8 RT Tablet with VivoTab Keyboard Docking Station for only $350. Here are the quick differences between the two: -the HP runs full windows 8, while the Asus runs Windows RT -therefore, the HP has generally better specs...except: - the Asus includes office, which is a huge $$$ savings I'm also not a big fan of HP, given their idiot move of killing their WebOS tablet/smartphone business...which, of course they are now desperately trying to re-enter the tablet/smartphone market by producing both Windows and Android tablets (they just announced they will begin selling a stripped down Android tablet for $169...but the specs are terrible). I agree that comparing the Vivotab and the X2 is like apples to oranges. I have a Surface RT (same basic internals of the vivotab) and even though its pretty quick, it can't run chrome or google hangouts. If you can live with internet explorer as your only browser and only need office, the tab is a much cheaper choice though.

Ok gents...here we go:I just got my Envy X2 11t-g0000 This is what is has, I am typing from the Envy X2. SD Card Slot 8mp Camera on back Front facing Camera 2 Batteries - the main and the second in the keyboard 2 USB 2.0 ports on the dock 1 HDMI port on the dock Headphone jack on the dock Micro SD Card Slot on bottom of Tablet Headphone jack on bottom of tablet Charging port on both the dock and tablet This is not a watered down version AT ALL people. Its a nice little set up. As previously mentioned...its not a performance beast. For my needs, it is fine...more than fine actually. It is a bit peppier than my Acer Iconia W510 which has the same specs. Wish it had a micro HDMI port on the tablet part, but hey...ya cant have everything. Only remaining questions is whether or not the stylus works with this model. I intend to order that once it is available to see, but being that this seems to have the same features as the others, I bet it will work. I think the lower price is because this had to be ordered and wasn't ready to ship right away. If anyone has any questions still...feel free to message here or PM me. I will be selling both my Vivotab TF600t and Acer Iconia W510 since I am so happy with this. ![]() -Haldy78 Last edited by Haldy78; 03-01-2013 at 01:44 PM.. |

$599 at Staples through March 9. Not as good a deal, but provides instant (or close to) gratification.
