I seriously doubt that. Olympus OM-D is one of the hottest cameras on the market.

Got the last one for my G3 today after calling in last night to reserve it. The reason that these deals are so difficult to get in on is because the employees know when a specific item is going to be considered dead stock (losing money by being in the store) and may already prepared to buy the item for themselves. A lot of products (like this lens) make it into the hands of customers, but if it's something that one or more of the employees in your local store have been eyeing, there's no chance you'll be able to get your hands on it. Obviously, this occurs most frequently with less popular items that remain unsold despite a store's best efforts to unload them.

I went to a Best Buy in alpharetta, ga and got a story similar to this.

No lenses near me but they have the battery for the GF3 for $10. Part number DMW-BLE9 .
