doesn't negate the legitimacy of the deal. It's not a "ymmv" clearance hunt, and all the necessary coupons are generally available, so I don't see the reason for a TD...but then again, this is SD... nothing surprises me anymore around here.

No. I found that thread when searching prior to posting, but that requires a filler item and a price match to a store which does not exist in a lot of areas, and even then still comes out more expensive. how is it a repost if my post was targeted at a specific item?

for example, I have a SSD deal alert set up...I never received an alert about this coupon because I didn't have one set up for it, so I did not know that I could simply walk into a B&M store and achieve a SSD at my desired price point. For anybody else that is looking for a deal on a SSD, they would also not have received it...with this targeted post, they will, and it may be what they're looking for.

Gotta love SD...they could post a deal for a Lexus at 98% off MSRP that everybody can get and it would probably still receive TD and nagging comments. If the deal isn't for you, just move on

It's still a repost of a front page deal and if every idiot picked one item and took 20% and listed it the thread would be packed with crap like this made up from a front page deal

just because they picked an item and took 20% off does NOT mean that the end price would qualify it as a "slick" deal...this was posted because it comes out to a much lower price than anybody can find right now either online or B&M.

IIRC, FP'ed deals do include the math showing something to the effect of "this item is priced $x amount lower than the nearest competitor price of blah blah." I used the same logic...when all this requires is walking into a store and showing a generic coupon in order to make it around $26 lower than the nearest competitor, I felt it was worthy enough to warrant a specific post. If it helped out one person, then that's good enough for me.

I also find it interesting that you're making these comments when, not too long ago, you submitted the same "type" of deal (in the sense that you posted a specific item from a separately posted coupon thread) ( http://slickdeals.net/f/5341380-1...z-32-ac-FS )

But feel free to bump your post count as much as you'd like.

I've been very torn between getting 120GB or 256GB, but at double the price I'm still very hesitant. Would love to find a quality 256GB SSD around the $110 price point, as I think then I would be convinced to jump on it. I will keep an eye out for the next 13 days, in case a deal like that does come along I can still return this one.
