Nope, it's legit & very real. I got a similar deal on a Cadillac CTS last year - ~$700 out of pocket and $330/mo for 24 months. Very low interest rates + a very strong used market + GM highly motivated to get cars on the road = some stellar short term lease deals.

Leasing cars is not a slick deal.

Yep, it was too good to be true...I went last night to get it and it was really $284, LOL. I read through the lease and there was no hidden charges, no lease termination fee, nothing. It was $284 because the car they quoted me didn't have a heated steering wheel. It looks like the reason it was so cheap was there was another $2,300 of "discounts" they gave me over and above the $3,000 I already had. So without that $2,300, it would have been around $280/mth. I know one of the discounts was the $500 lease conquest discount which I wasn't even entitled to since I don't have a lease at all. I don't know what the others are. Thanks for your help everyone! If someone wants to see the contract to try and price match, PM me...

Oh and B9FY, this wasn't posted in the Hot Deals forum, it was posted in the Finance forum where people also ask questions so it's legit. And FYI, I just ran the numbers (as if they gave me the $5,300 off the purchase price as well) with the lease buyout and everything and in this case, in this case, leasing it is a slick deal. If I buy the car at the lease end, it'll end up costing me $100 more total than if I had bought the car outright from the start. For $100, I like to be able to "dispose" of a $32,000 car with no liability after 2 years or buy it out depending on what the used car market looks like.

Yeah...and besides aging me by about 10 years (I was the youngest person in the dealership except for the receptionist by at least 15 years), the car is awesome.
