ESP LTD Viper-50 in black cherry $99.99 + FS @ rakuten.com (buy.com)
rakuten.com has the ESP LTD Viper-50 [rakuten.com] in black cherry (looks like plain old red to me) for $99.99 with free shipping. This is through Sonic Electronix.
Sonic had the same deal quite some time ago directly on their website, but isn't available directly on their site anymore. So I'm not sure how they have availability through Rakuten.com, but not directly on Sonic's site. Still, if you can actually get it for $100, it's a decent beginner guitar. I traded one of these for a Fernandes Dragonfly. I got ripped off.
The ESP LTD Viper-50 Electric Guitar is all about playability. The dual ESP LH-150 pickups buck 60-cycle hum, making them much quieter than single-coil pickups and more powerful. The 24-3/4" scale is slightly shorter than many electric guitars, making for less string tension and easier play. The LTD Viper-50 guitar's basswood body and maple neck with rosewood fretboard promise superb stability and long life.
Basswood body
Bolt-on maple neck
Thin U-shaped neck
24-3/4" scale length
42mm nut width
Rosewood fretboard
ESP LH-150 humbucking pickups
Tune-o-matic-style bridge
Stopbar tailpiece
24 extra-jumbo frets
ESP tuners
Chrome hardware
Sonic does have the EC-50 in 2-Tone Sunburst [sonicelectronix.com] for $99 on their website for anyone interested. Don't forget to add your free GoGo Jr. tuner
