Deal Details

Hey guys and gals,

I have been doing a lot of searching for the best "bang for you buck" AR-15 Rifle scope and I came across the Nikon ProStaff BDC (Which 99% of the reviews loved it) and was pretty close to pushing the buy button when I decided to do a little more research (And I am glad I did). I started looking at the Nikon P-223 since it was specifically made for the AR-15 platform. I started looking at prices as well.

Nikon ProStaff 3-9X40
176.99 (Best deal I could find in stock w/ Free Shipping)
Mount(s) Minimum of $45
Total of $222 at minimum

The Dicks Deal below is dead but as X2CT Stated Cabela's is also selling it with free mounts (Not the Nikon M-223 XR AR but still free!)

Mad
Nikon P-223 3-9X40 $199.99
Nikon M-223 XR AR (Mount made specifically for the scope)
$99.99
Total of $300 (not including tax)

BUT I was able to get the Nikon P-223 and the Nikon M-223 XR AR for roughly $214 Shipped!woot

This scope is slightly more ($279), but a much better scope.

I put it in my cart, but it went out of stock before I could checkout 1 minute later Frown

Great deal though, I have the fixed x3 version of this scope and I love it.

A Redfield scope and regular Leupold rings work just as nice for less.

It's not. Nikon has the best optics in its price range.

Don't tell dicks that you're putting this on a semi auto, they'll probably refuse to sell it to you at the rate they're going.

Comparing a 3-9x40 to a 6.5-20x44 is just plain silly. However, I do agree that the Viper line is superior to the lower level Nikon glass.

That is a great scope and they are dead nuts as long as you shoot that recommended load. Nikon gets 5 stars on their BDC Scopes.

This is a great deal. I have this scope and it functions very well. I opted for the Burris mount for my build but I have heard great things about the Nikon as well. +1

Man I want this so bad, cant beat the price for $214.

But I'll hold off until ammo gets cheaper. As long as .223/5.56 is hovering around 75cents a round.. its still too expensive for me to do any serious shooting with my rifles. No use in buying more accessories, when I have perfectly fine shooting platforms with no ammo sitting at home.

Yes I've seen some 60cent & even 50cent/round deals. But you have to order it immediately or its gone. Just doesnt make sense that ammo is this expensive/scarce when there is no chance it will get banned. Paying that much per round is even harder to fathom, when I have backorders with Cabelas for 37cents a round that still havent shipped. I ordered them 12/19.
