Run or just for general gym use. Or walking around.
I've done all of the above, currently I use mine mainly for gym use, but I'll be wearing my nearly dead pair to the Spartan Sprint this year (tossing them after that, wore them there last year and they were an utter pain to get clean after that).
Barefoot shoes are super comfortable to me and unless something calls for dressier shoes or I'm trying to class it up I wear minimal shoes (using Merrel Tough Gloves or Vivo Gobi chukkas).

Also, for people with high arches. Look at the pairs with laces. I can only fit in the types with laces (I have Bikila LS, Komodosport LS, and Speed). I used to wear size 10ish shoes and have wider feet. I've found that size 42 fits best in just about any barefoot shoe (FiveFingers, Merrel, Vivo Barefoot). As for dress shoes just for comparison 9.5E in Allen Edmonds.

Walk in them for a whole day before you decide to run in them. When you feel like you're ready to run, only go for a mile. The sound these make when you run is painful when I'm running by someone wearing them.

They're essentially Zappos with actual sales/lower prices and without the free 1-2 day shipping or return shipping. I haven't had a problem with them, but yeah, if you haven't seen the fit of Vibrams you need you're risking needing to return these, more so than other shoes.

These things are awesome. Walking and running in these works more muscles in your feet. I really like them.

Can anyone chime in with large feet? I am a 14, sizing chart says 47-48. The largest is 47. Is this going to be sufficient? Width is normal.

Anyone own both the KSO & KMD Sport? I'm a 40 in the KSO and want to be sure I get the right size. I also have the Bikilia in 40 but not sure if I am a fan of the styles fit.
