I love VFF, but is 6PM an authorized retailer? I don't see them listed on the VFF site. Normally VFF requires their authorized dealers to have a physical store.

To be quite honest, this has improved my walking and strength. We rely too much on sole cushion and why we heal strike when we walk/run. I'm a 14, wear a 47. They do warn against trying to a direct conversion like that, though. Go to the VFF website - they have sizing charts based on the length of your feet. Start there.

They smell wish they would create some kind of anti-microbial , I recommend going on Ebay and buying 7 pairs of toe socks for something like 11 bux. There are branded toe socks called injinji toe socks sale, but its like wearing Nike Brand socks vs Dollar Store Brand. (Which means nothing, but a logo)

Just bought a pair of KSO (my 2nd pair). Love these things and put them through a ton of abuse. Best shoe ever.

You can use any of them, really. The Bikila was designed with runners in mind. KMD Sport is another good option. These 2 have slightly thicker soles. You can also use the sprint, KSO or classic which have thinner soles then the other 2 mentioned and feel more of the natural ground beneath your foot. I have used the classics for running, but they're not ideal as they will cause some uncomfortable rubbing.

Trekksport has the thickest sole and could be used for running as well, but might be better for more hiking type activities.

Agreed. First time I wore these (Bikilas) I ran a mile/mile and a half in them on a treadmill and after the first few minutes i felt my lower calf (between ankle and bigger calf muscle) start to tighten a little. I thought nothing of it and continued running. After a mile that area got really tight and again just pushed through it to finish the run. Well, let me tell you that it was a HUUUUGE mistake. My lower calf area got so sore that I could barely walk for two weeks! I had to walk around work like I had a load in my pants. No joke. It was to painful to stretch my foot so I had to keep my lower leg/ankle area straight so not to stretch the muscle.

Anyway, not to scare anyone from buying these, after my body got used to these shoes (5 days/week for about a month, light/moderate running plus lifting) I actually prefered these to anything else. Didn't think I would truthfully and thought it was just a fad but, the more I used them, the more I liked working out in them. I could feel my ankles and lower calf/calf areas getting stronger BECAUSE there is no support or cushion like there is with regular shoes. Also, I use them to run outside as well and while its not like runnning on pillows, it isn't as bad as people may think. It's one of those things that you just get used to. No pain no gain right?

Oh and I would invest in some toe socks for it. You know, to keep the stink down a little and so you don't have to wash them as often.

For those who are unsure of what size to get, you can follow the steps on the sizing tool [vibramfivefingers.com] to get the right size..

For sizing here is the issue:

• I take a 9 in Chuck Taylors
• I take a 9.5 in Nike AF1's
• I take a 10 in hiking boots
• And I take a 41 in Vibrams and own a pair of Spyridon's

My advice is go to Vibram.com and find an authorized seller. In the store they have blue rubber foot size charts. Buying the wrong size is not confortable and it felt like I was cutting the circulation from my feet. Obviously it shoudlnt slip but sit snugly on your foot like a sock.
