That's not what you said, by the way. You said "Oh, you can say any like-new item can be called "not as described", so just return it!", so that you could buy again at a tiny bit lower price. That is acting in bad faith.

If you buy an item that is as described, the transaction is over, period. That's how mature adults operate.

The seller pays about half of his profit margin in eBay fees, PayPal fees, and shipping costs. Right off the bat, he is keeping roughly HALF of the margin for doing ALL the work.

When some dick head buyer decides to renege on the deal because they found the same item for a hair cheaper, that seller gets to do the following:
a.) deal with their dumb ass via ebay messages and deal with some excuses or threats because the kind of person that would return an item in bad faith works that way
b.) wait for them to send the product back
c.) once they receive the product back, which is now smeared with their greasy fingerprints, thrown in the box haphazardly with all the accessories unraveled and unpacked, they get to take the time to clean it back up, and carefully repackage it.
d.) go through the refund process, which hopefully they participates in, so they can get their money back
e.) resell the product AGAIN, which at best is a break-even assuming you didn't leave it in worse condition, and they get to pay shipping AGAIN since their first shipping charge was a write-off.

This ends up wasting the sellers' time, keeping their attention on a bullshit issue for 2 weeks, having to deal with someone like you, then losing money on the transaction. After which, they can't even leave the buyer negative feedback, while the shady ass buyer can leave whatever feedback they want, because F sellers, right eBay? All that so you can save $15, minus cost of return shipping the item, so maybe $5.

Why don't you try and think about someone besides yourself, you ass.

Exactly, new is new, used is used. like new is not an official category on ebay.

in fact, ebay doesn't allow me to put like new in the title, though in the description I can say anything I want, but none applied to the "returnable condition", buyer can only used the picture, the spec (where it has "used" or "new") and title line as the "not as described" reason to return.

So a buyer bought one "like new" and want to return as it doesn't look "like new", it'll be some hard time to get ebay manager support. The irony is any brand new item once returned will become "like new", so to be fair, unless totally a wrong item is shipped, returning a brand new item should be charged a value adjustment fee or so.

Damn! The tablet I have received is having the infamous screen flicker issues. I guess, I need to stay away from N7 refurbs. Guess people are returning it because of screen flicker and these are being re-sold without being fixed by Asus.

Anyone else having the screen flicker?
