Just the list I have from work. I don't have either game system...trying to convince myself I do not need a PS3.

Pretty good deal if you're in the market for a PS3. I don't expect an official price drop for a while considering the God of War Red PS3 bundle is coming out soon for $350..

I have a working PS3 but it's now out of warranty. Thinking of picking this up, selling the old system (with some games I never play + sell the assasin's creed it should be pretty close to a wash), and having the newest version with warranty (and PS+).
Anyone know if the warranty from the ebay purchase is the same as a retail store purchase (1yr limited?).

Such a scam, so people will purchase the digital downloads of PS3 games off their market. There is no technical reason why it shouldn't play PS3 games unless they intended it. Like you said, a bummer...also a pain in the ass.

Never owned a console in my life, but want to get the PS3. I have no idea what the prices have been and what they should be.
All I know is that the PS4 is going to come out and the PS3 will fall in price.


Now, I can wait if need be, for a better price...
But for the moment, how HOT of a deal/price is this?
Please advise if I should buy this or not.

I have exactly the same bundle. The assassin's creep game has a big not for sale printed on the case.

in for one. i missed the cowboom deal earlier this month. though, i'll sell off ac iii for whatever i can get, no tax through newegg for me here in chicago, and with double the storage space i'm not going to pass it up. thanks, op!

Standalone, big name blu-ray players are already selling for less than a quarter or third the price of a PS3 ($50-80). I doubt a modest cut in the PS3's price would produce that much downward pressure on standalone players at this point.

If you're really that price sensitive, refurbished smart blu-ray players can be had for less than $40.
