Absolutely correct. "Not for resale" is to stop retail stores from breaking up the.bundle to sell the game by itself. You own the game when you buy it and can sell to whoever you want to.

Picking one of these up because the last of us will be out soon. Maybe get God of War (still didn't get to play 3 so it will be cheap). Honestly though, if you have played everything you want to up to this point, those are the only exclusives. If you have a 360 to play GTA5, 2013 offers nothing, well except PS4, whole different story though, whole different price too.

So my old Ps3 broke and I have all my old saves on a 320gb hdd. Can I remove the one inside these new super slim models?

Also how much do you think I can sell the 500 hdd for?

In short this is a great price and should jump on it. Large 500 gb hdd is one of the two newest releases from Sony and probably won't drop much below this for sometime. I expect best price to be seen for awhile is $199.99 and even that some time. I think it's just newegg trying to clear stock they aren't walmart and don't want to hold on to these for a huge loss.

This is definitely a hot price. This has been at $300 for awhile now and with no sign of dropping. People say oh it's going to drop in july and such because of the ps4. But really? I don't see much dropping below this price. At most maybe $199.99 but I seriously doubt it. It has a 500 GB hdd. The 60gb models are still selling for $199.99 right now and I don't see them going down to $50 like the ps2 has at least not for a long time. I mean if nothing else it's still a blu-ray player. Cheapest those are $100 unless you get a good deal or buy used/refurbished and it still plays games.

Also since you haven't had a console I know you didn't mention thinking about it but I do suggest ps3 over xbox 360 at least currently. I mean seriously it's a free blu-ray player with your gaming system and you get access to free games if you pay the subscription fee. Which recently had a deal for $35ish for a year. I know I'll get flamed for this but really I have all 3 systems. Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 and I loved my xbox for ages 90% of my games are on it. But I've just kinda got disenchanted with it over time. Nothing special on it. Expect Halo and having to pay for services that should be free. IE watching netflix or playing with friends. It's just silly. I mean I get no discounts or no free stuff for being a xbox live member so feels like less a value to me.

Seems like a solid deal to me. If you want Assassin's Creed III, great. If not, sell it for ~$30 and you have a PS3 500 GB console and controller for about $200.

If you really want a PS3 now this is a good price.The best PS3 deal I've seen was from Black Friday last year where you could get the 250GB Super Slim with Uncharted 1&2 and Infamous 1&2+DLC for $200. No one knows if Sony will ever announce a price drop for the PS3, they recently announced a God of War bundle with the PS3 for $350 (6 games total I think). For all we know Sony could just announce more bundles with more stuff to keep the prices high.

This is a much better deal than that Black Friday sale. This is for the 500gb hard drive as opposed to the 250gb and it comes with Assassin's Creed 3 in a real package and not some paper cases that Uncharted 1, 2 and Infamous 1 and 2 came with.

You may put it in the newer one and it will work but most likely, you'd have to reformat it. I've never had any success moving one PS3 HDD to another without doing so. I've tried the fat to fat, slim to slim, fat to slim or vice versa and none have worked. Perhaps you'll have better luck. Also, being a PS3 HDD will not fetch it anymore than any other SATA laptop HDD of the same size. That's all it is anyway.

From my reading I found that there is actually technical reasons why the PS4 wont be backward compatible. The PS3 is a PowerPC based and the new PS4 will be x86. Supposedly in order to play PS3 games it would have to emulate a PS3, and I dont think the PS4 has enough horsepower to emulate the PS3 and run the rest of the PS4 OS...
