Black seems to have gone. Is there a difference between white and black or is it just the color preference. (Product details seem to be different for both)

FYI, I just RMA'd mine because it would not reliably connect to a wi-fi network. I am an IT professional and so had some commercial wifi gear to test with and it is just a finicky little camera that was impossible to keep reliably connected. In trying I found lots of people saying they had success and lots that wrote that it was impossible. IMHO their wireless networking code is terrible and makes the device worth avoiding if you need a wireless solution. YMMV.

Thanks for the advice. It seems Black was back again so cancelled the white and ordered the black. Little worried seeing the comments from Wandering_Burr. Will test it and then decide if I need to return it.

Were you using the camera outdoors? This is an indoor rated camera and not fit for outdoor use. For outdoor use try the FI8905W or the newly released megapixel FI9802W |

I actually bought this awhile back for the $80 price and still have not used it. I found it difficult to set up with a mac or pc and cannot find a good online dvr service for it.
any suggestions? |
