Deciding --- I bought the Monoprice ones that everyone on SD raved about and was disappointed in them in sound and especially due to the sound that traveled through the wires when moving (they did not fit my earl well either and within 2 days I lost the rubber ear piece). If anyone can recommend another pair that's in the $20 range, sounds great and sound from ruffling wires does not travel to the earpiece I would appreciate it.

I don't need a mic, I just care about audio quality.

suprised they even make them without now days (this level). better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. and someday it will be needed.

I lost my galaxy s3's ear phones (one that came with it). Any opinion how these fare against it?
You're gonna be mad at yourself for not losing them sooner!

Choose either the FX40's or FX101's.

If you like deep/extreme bass, go for the FX101's.
If you like everything about the FX101's but don't want mind-numbing bass, go for the FX40's. The FX40's have exceptional highs/mids/lows.

Same price/cheaper than the Klipsch S1's.

The JVC's shit on the S4's, let alone the S1's.

Don't believe me, go check out head-fi.org and see what people say.

I feel like Klipsch has become the new Beats. Anything with a Klipsch name and people will go gaga over it.

There are much better options out there folks.

You should look at the Vsonic GR02. Raved by many in audiophile forums. Low cord noise, great bass, good mids and highs. Also, they come with 14 tips (including sony hybrid tips) and default tips all for $36.

I agree with you. I have owned the S4 and while they are pretty good with the mid and high, the bass is very lacking. Also, they are not made for strenuous activities. I used it for running and after about 2 months, one ear died on me. I now use the Senheiser CX150 and love it. Much better than the S4 in sound and built quality.

Not to sound like a dick but, umm yeah, I'm not going to trust a random youtuber vs head-fi.org.
