Just curios.. If we bought both TD softwares in same receipt, shouldn't we send as 2 separate envelopes? (like 2 unique rebates).. Confusing...

That is what the instructions say but apparently it is not necessary as indicated in the prior post.

But is it safer to send as 2 envelopes? I cant understand how they will validate if to $70 if we just send the $50 rebate redemption form alone..

But they did it. Both products on one receipt. I wouldn't recommend it but it definitely is more efficient.

The rebate forms for both products is the exact same. And after reading here that people who sent in two rebates in different envelopes got one invalidated, made me think. I have both envelopes ready and stamped and photocopied. But just sent one to see what they do and they processed both rebates.
So it looks like I am safe and getting $70 check.

Received a card stating that Total Defense was not honored because of duplicate staples easy rebate ID. I sent in separate envelopes and checked rebateHQ and it's showing the rebate for $70 but showing it as invalid--duplicate receipt. Hmmm looks like I might have to make a call. Anyone experiencing this? There isn't another Total Defense Product rebate on there. . Looks like they rejected both of them at the $70!!

Looked at daughters and she showed 2 $70 rebates of which one was valid and the other was Not Valid. I called Staples rebates and he said name was spelled wrong and he fixed it so it would go through. He said it was always there yeah right but once he fixed it--it showed up on rebatesHQ like it should have. I have a feeling there are going to be alot of missed rebates on this mess up.

Typo error, huh?

Only one other person has reported a similar siutuation so far, although in his case, IIRC, both rebates were showing invalid on his account online.

Got the same card in the mail today...my first reaction was to get really steamed...but then I came here to see if anything was up. Also checked the rebate site.

Seems that there are two entries there (I sent in two separate envelopes). One is invalid as a dupe for $70, the other (also $70) has a "valid" status. Last time I checked, there was only one combined $70 entry, so the second entry is a surprise. Kind of wacky way to process these.

I checked online and have one rejected for $70 and one accepted for $70. Does this mean I'm in the clear? This is so confusing.

As long as one rebate is showing valid for $70, you are fine. Ignore the invalid entry and the card that will come for that particular rebate.

Same thing happened to me, I called, was reassured $70 is forthcoming, they were just combined.

Same situation: Two envelopes sent, rejected postcard in the mail, RebatesHQ showing 1 dupe & 1 valid. Glad my situation is not unique! Thanks all .

mine is showing invalid and duplicate staples easy rebate id. but mine only has one invalid and nothins saying the other one is valid. who should i contact to resolve this?
