Staples march 15th changes to rewards program

Does double double reward mean you have to buy so much ink to get double reward or what? I'm a noob to this I've recycled a few times at staples. Tia

You buy =or>$50 of HP ink and you will get 20% back in Rewards and $4 per each empty ink cartridge you recycle the same day in-store or within 7 days for online purchase.

First, they did away with the $25 off $75, now this. So long Staples. Nice knowing you.*

They still have $25/75 coupons but they're online/phone-only now. I get them a couple times/month,

First I'll wait to see it officially posted. There have been rumors there were big changes coming in March. Maybe this is it. IF you can't make $30 on MM deal(s) per quarter you are not slick. Now, what type of ink they talking? HP or all brands? If any brand, I'll be getting a Brother J430W and buying generic ink and selling the $30 ink I have to buy every quarter. This is a PITA requirement but I'm sure we will all figure out a way to game it to death. Else we aren't slick.
