Enroll in Identity Theft Monitoring
Reclaiming your identity can be costly, time consuming, and stressful. That’s why it’s important to take extra precaution to monitor your name, and your credit. Checking your credit report is a great first step toward monitoring your credit, but, it isn’t enough, as identity theft can take on many forms. Thieves can use someone's health insurance card to receive medical services, rent an apartment in someone else’s name, and even obtain credit cards.

Enrolling in Identity Theft Monitoring is a critical step to help protect your identity. ProtectMyID® Essential, offered free to AAA members and associate members age 18 and older, provides Identity Theft Monitoring through daily monitoring of your Experian® credit report. Additionally, AAA members and associates can save 56 percent by signing up for ProtectMyID®, a comprehensive Identity Theft Monitoring product by Experian®. Please note that CreditCheck® Select has been replaced with ProtectMyID® Essential, an exclusive Identity Theft Monitoring benefit for AAA members. If you’re already enrolled in CreditCheck® Select, you can still access your account.

AAA Premier members receive $10,000 Identity Theft Insurance with free monitoring.

Wasn't this available previously as well? I have this for don't-remember-how-many-years. I guess the OP recently joined AAA.

I've been a member of AAA for years. I need to look into what else I'm getting besides roadside assistance.

Nothing for me. I actually am debating about ditching it when my renewal is up in June. I have roadside assistance with Hyundai (that actually works very nicely the time my car wouldn't start in my driveway) and I don't use any of the other discounts.

Also poking around the site for "East Central" all the discounts seem to be restaurant.com gift certificates and those stupid WOW points.

I have the credit report service through Experian and was paying $15/month. I called to cancel and they reduced it to $9/month, so I kept it. $69 is a great deal for a whole year (vs. $108 on my plan) however it is $10000 fraud protection vs. $50000 on my plan. I will look into this more...thanks
