Anyway, you can try to call again and pretend to be someone else to trick them.... but what are you going to gain with that info anyway? |

Unless they reset your online account and gave you the password to it without verifying who you really were, no violation occurred.
A name and appointment date does not give out the types of identifying information covered under HIPAA. |

It's not as if passwords are traveling by camel after they've been stolen, going to the bad guys, and so there's, like, some weird eight-week window, like, oh, we're going to change your password so that the stale password no longer works. ... And all this does is make IT people despised because users, who are not dumb, they think, why am I - why do I have to do this? What problem is this solving?

Today I talked to the people that only make appts. For that, I got the 3rd degree. SSN, birthday, address. That's the way it should be.

I made you Czar of New Orleans and you wind up getting caught for corruption. Corruptions and Cronyism and pinnacle features of my administration and you still manage to screw things up. I shouldn't let you post. The IRS was asked to provide itemized receipts detailing how the government was billed $50 million USD for their conferences and conventions. Funny how if you, or I, or SD.net gets audited by the IRS, we're going to be expected to find receipts for everything. |

Actually , asking you ssn and other details would be hipaa violation, or releasing info to you about your previous doctors appointments, findings, diagnosis etc...
Trust me, I am a doctor
