TU to the thread because you combined all of them. When I needed to buy something last week I had to go fishing through thread after thread to make sure I had the best code.

I never realized how much of a ripoff Advance is on retail prices until I saw these codes. 40% off (on $100) and you can still stay in business? They do very well where i live. Probably a store every 5 miles or so.

You usually can do better online through ebay (cheapest for most parts, even amazon), but usually when you need a replacement part, it cannot wait. These really help out when you have no choice otherwise.

i've done 10% discover CB and coupons about 20 times.. it works everytime.

I'm always the one in the family that has to tend to 8 cars.. brake jobs galore.

Shopdiscover is like hit and miss. I did a purchase on 11/24/2012 and they let me wait until Feb statement before finally issuing a manual credit. CS is not that receptive,always shows rules,did you use coupon etc. - wait for what? 6 to 8 weeks until customer gives up and moves on.

AAP.com has consistently offered discounts like these pretty much year 'round for a while now. I don't know how they do it. Additionally, you can get 6% back from a rebate site. It's great being able to order online for pickup at a store thats less than a mile away. The transactions have been mostly seamless. This way I have been able to save much time and money on most of my automotive purchases. It's funny because the only time I'm ever in AAP is if I'm picking up an online order. Why would I not order online? It works well, it's 40-45% cheaper and I don't have to converse very long with a rude GM or an associate who thinks they know what they're talking about. In and out.

Keep in mind that AAP does put a high markup on some of their products so remember to compare their prices with Amazon, Ebay and the rest of the internet.

Agree with price comparing, these coupons are excellent (used one on a starter a month ago) but other stores can occasionally be cheaper.

I find that when I use the discount codes, the prices are cheaper than other local auto parts stores and as cheap as the best of the online prices (rock auto.com, autopartswarehouse.com, etc.)
BTW... AAP can have these codes and still stay in business because many people do make their purchases in-store and can't use any code. Also, since many of their online customers aren't SD'ers, they don't know about the best of the discount codes and only know about the ones that are promoted in AAP's banner at the top of the web site.

Anyone have a link to their new ad starting the 28th?

Do these codes actually work on oil or is that excluded as is typical for auto store discounts?
