Got a mass email from them saying to send in my proof of assistance letter & a copy of my DL. I'm very very very hesitant to send a copy of my DL - this seems shady IMO since they took sooooo long to send anything out, and I've only heard of a few people getting food. IMO it could easily be a scam to get people's info, but who knows.

Our local food bank does pet food, so I may just call them instead until I see how things progress with this group.

not yet. I do know they were on the local news(NYC,Long Island)where they are based so hopefully they are real. I emailed them as soon as this post was made. If they ask for proof and whatev though I'm going to see if I can bring it in person vs mailing or emailing anything. They are like 2 blocks from my Aunt's house in Queens so easy for me to do. Crossing fingers!!
