They are 100Mbit adapters not 1Gb. They do use 500Mbit protocol. They are compatible with any other Zyxel power line device that supports 500Mbit. I'm adding this set to a kit with PLA4205 (Gigabit ports) as well as a 4-port Zyxel power line switch.Much better than wireless G/N in almost all applications (save for old houses with rotten wiring). Keep away from noisy/hungry electrical devices (use a dedicated socket).

It's daft - Even though my 500Mb/s adapters max out at ~60Mb/s I feel cheated that they are limited to 100Mb/s.
I will add that the 500Mb/s adapters achieve about 50% more throughput relative to the 200Mb/s adapters. |
