also, according to Anandtech, the 7950 can boost almost up to the performance of the 680. |

I have : GTX 670 in SLI, i5-2500k, 16gb ram. dedicated gtx 460 for physx.
my favorite game : FTL I bought it because I was so impressed by physx in borderlands 2. it was fun, but i haven't even played any of the dlc though i own it all. what to take away from this? i don't know. maybe i'm just too old to be as interested as i once was in fps games. i used to play fps games all the time and thought they were amazing. now i'm 33 and i'm so much more interested in stories, in imagination, in the way a game makes me visualize things in my head that are way cooler than anything physx can ever do. After seven years of SD, I've come to conclude that Slickdealers are protein-powder guzzling, pistol packing, cheap-ass video game nerds.

Now that being said, not everyone can afford a 7950 or a GTX 680 so if we dial it back to a 660 Ti and a 7850 and the results are similar, 2.46 TFLOPS to 1.47 TFLOPs. It's kind of always been like that though with Nvidia and Radeon cards since Nvidia started introducing CUDA cores. |
