Criterion has some really good movies like the Kurosawa films but I can't help to marvel at their original high prices. I understand they're a niche publisher but jeez. The ones I want are originally priced just over $30 and even half off it's still just over $15. I really wanted some of the samurai movies but not at that price.

yes, that wouldve made this deal a whole lot better. Not too much to be had at a real deal when its only off SRP.

The only significantly cheaper prices you;ll get these (new anyway) for will be during the twice yearly 50% off (July & .Nov) Barnes and Noble sales and then only if you use instore members and coupons when available. The std $40 MRSP discs can often be bought for $27-30 at Amazon, BBY, and Criterion.com. During the BN sales you can often get them $14-15 each and occasionally a bit cheaper depending on the prevailing coupons and helpful instore clerks.

If you want them 5 months early this is about as good as you;ll see.
