Free return if defective. But it's the same return policy if you order from Amazon Warehouse. If I end up getting another defective unit, then that's the last time I'll ever be sending them my money.

FYI, I sent my UPS package yesterday and already got my refund credited today. Good job Amazon.

Replace the unit and see if the issue still persists. You can try and install the new firmware version and see if that helps!

The storage offer is really a joke my friend. We had awesome offers for 2tb passport from amazon for 103$ just weeks back. I dont know who would buy for nearly retail price for refurbished units. I had a bitter experience returning a unit and never shopped with them since then.
