One of the reviews on Amazon claimed the Bora "seem to be a little more stout" than the Irwin and another backed up the Bora claim of gripping very tightly. I noticed that Bora has an adapter you can buy that lets you clamp from a central point. If you were to buy clamps one by one you would probably pay quite a bit more to assemble a set like this, unless you found a good deal. I think this would be a nice set for someone who does a lot of woodworking, where using many clamps to glue up is often required.

I think you can use the Irwin's as a spreader, but it looks like you can turn the head 90 degrees on the Bora, which could be useful in certain situations.

The link you provided is for the micro mini bar clamp. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like these Boras are comparable to the Irwin mini bar clamps, 150 lbs clamping:

In that case, the Irwin clamps can not be used as spreaders. I believe, Irwin has spreading ability on the 300 lbs clamps.
I bought the 6" Irwins minis at Home Depot on sale for $3.50 ea and the 12" for $5.00 ea.
I would buy the Boras in a heartbeat at that price, if I didn't already have a million Irwin clamps.
