Looking to buy 2 Full size mattress for Bunk Bed

looking to buy 2 full size memory foam mattresses for a full over full bunk bed in the guest bedroom.
The lowest i was able to find with a decent rating was at walmart for $129.

You didn't state what type of bunk bed you have, whether it's wood or metal. If it's wood, and has slats, I highly recommend getting a flat piece of wood and putting it on top of the slats in between the slats and this mattress. This mattress will dip sink into the grooves of wood slats. It's even worse on a metal bunk bed and I would not recommend it for that purpose. If you are insistent on memory foam, go with a 10" for a metal bunk bed, and at least an 8" for wood slat bunk bed. Additionally, give yourself at least one week where you won't need the mattresses to air them out. The smell is awful that radiates from these things, literally, I needed a mask to go in the same room as the mattress until it completely aired out. The smell never entirely went away, we eventually got a zippered mattress protector to put around the mattress. If you or your guests are plus sized 2XL or larger I don't recommend a 6" memory foam mattress because it flattens down a lot, and it becomes more like a 2-3" memory foam mattress when all is said and done.

Just some things to keep in mind. You missed Sears big mattress sale that ran for President's Day, we saved over $600 on each mattress we purchased and got some killer deals. The deal you listed is solid for the type of mattress you want, and the time frame that you are looking to purchase it in.

hi, thanks a lot for your detailed response, i had no idea to even think about these things..
to anser some of your questions:
the bunk bed is an all wood full /full bunk bed,
from description, it says it comes with complete slat kit and is mattress ready.
The bed will be mostly used by kids when they have sleep overs, in fact since we never had a bunk bed before, my kids might insist on sleeping in it as well.. which is why i wanted a comfortable mattress...they currently sleep on memory foam mattress, i am not sure if they would be able to adjust to other types..

the reason i was hesitant to get a thicker mattress was because i was worried the kids may topple over from the top bunk.

do let me know your thoughts nad if u think some other mattress type would suit me better..

i am in no hurry as i dont have the bed yet

For kids you will be fine with a 6", unless they are older (teenagers). Even with slats, you will want a piece of plywood, or another type of wood over the slats before using this mattress, it needs a completely flat surface underneath it. When a bed says "mattress ready" they are referring to a standard mattress, not a memory foam mattress. I prefer the Spa Sensations 8" mattress (also available at Walmart),to me it's more comfortable, and it doesn't sink down as much (though it is firmer from the get go). It is also more expensive. If you are looking for the best budget memory foam mattress, you aren't going to get much cheaper than the one you mentioned.
