is there really any difference between a SATA II cable and a SATA III cable besides the labelling of II vs III

and what are the AWG ratings on these?

also in the first link, it shows "LIAN FENG" on the wire. So im guessing rosewill might just be purchasing the sata cables from some chinese company and rebranding them? Because I've had "LIAN FENG" on some other sata cables that were not from Rosewill

A more useful reply: there are no explicit physical differences between a SATA II and SATA III cable.

SATA III cables simply have stricter tolerances to provide full 6Gb/s throughput whereas a SATA II cable may provide less.

This matters more over longer distances. For short 10" runs, you're unlikely to run into problems.

One of the red SATA cables reads '28 AWG', so I'm guessing the others are similar.

Edit: and yes, Rosewill merchandise is simply Newegg rebranding otherwise "no-name" products.
