I actually never tried for the free Cosmo, because it's not something I'd read.

I just know a lot of females subscribe, and it's rarely $2 for 12 issues. Even the Heart Magazine deals for $5 usually only give 6 issues of Cosmo for that price.

But, I usually am able to get in on the Automobile, Car & Driver, and Road & Track free as long as I act early. Once it gets posted to SD, it begins the path to inevitable sell out.

It doesn't specifically say anything against renewals. However, the conditions say "allow 6 to 8 weeks to receive your first issue."

If you were to order it, you should make sure the name and info on the new order matches the one that you're renewing. Typically if a third party magazine company like Blue Dolphin processes an order to a publisher, they will combine the new order under the existing subscription if the info is the same. If you did receive duplicate issues, then they would combine the subscription into one if you called the publisher.

You could also play it safe and just start a new subscription once the old one ends. A lot of these magazine links work for a while.

I've found that the customer service web site of the last few that I've received duplicates for (Maxim, Time, Entertainment Weekly) all have a link to merge duplicate subscriptions into one and they are pretty quick about it.

Has anyone ordered from this company before? Any issues? What about when it came time to cancel, so you don't get hit with the outrageous full year fee? I need to renew my husbands Runners World and $2 for the year is a great price, just want to get feedback from others that may have had dealings with this company first.

Yes...I have and I didn't have a good experience. You do need to cancel the auto-renew (which you can do anytime after the order is processed). I tried to cancel my auto-renew, and was told it was successful, but they charged me the full price renewal despite that. It took a long time and lot of back and forth to get the $$ back. I wasn't impressed with their customer service. Just my experience though.

If you do order from them, try to use a temp cc # or a gift card, so that even when you do cancel the auto-renew - if they try to charge you, they won't be able to.

I have ordered from MyBonusCenter a few times (another place that offers the $2 subs with auto-renew). I have had a much better experience with them. You can cancel the auto-renew at their website (as opposed to emailing or calling) and it shows up on your account at their website very clearly. And their customer service is much better. But regardless, I use a temp cc # when I place an order.
