Same processor, but 18mp vs 12 is a huge difference. Also, in an effort to allow Nikon to stomp all over them in terms of innovation, Canon has decided to regurgitate the same 18mp sensor of the T2i in the T3i and T4i, so there's no appreciable difference in image quality between the three. The usability improvements of the T4i over the latter generations are fantastic (touchscreen, swivel screen, better liveview autofocus), but aside from fast action, any shot that can be had on the T4i can be had on the T2i.

I'm not usually the "just spend a 130 bucks more" guy, but just spend $130 more and get the T4i [canon.com]. If you can't spring that a used T2i is much better than a T3.

Actually I don't think so. I believe it is T2i->T3i->T4i. T3 may even be under T2i.

The Swivel seems like the biggest thing for me, which I think the T3i has.

I take mostly macro pictures with a tripod in a studio setting, does it even matter which one of these cameras I use? will I see any difference in image quality?

I may need to shoot videos every once in a while, does the T3 take good 1080p videos? does it have auto-focus?

You don't even have to put a code in, just add both to cart. This would be a great starter package because it allows you to add both lenses and discounts with one camera. Comes out to be a little over five hundred for the camera with kit kens and two additional lenses.

If you are just starting and want camera only, sell the 75-300 for $100, the 55-250 for $150 and you just bought a great new camera for around $250!

You definitely want 18mp over 12 for macro, to give you more breathing room for cropping.

t3, t2i and t3i have the same Digic4 processor, but the T4i has the Digic5 processor. You're getting faster FPS (5.0 vs. 3.7), higher ISO range, all 9 AF points are cross-type, etc. The t2i to t3i was the tiniest step up, but the t4i is a decent jump from the t2i/t3i. I wouldn't even consider a t3.
