Verizon FIOS Triple play (50/25 internet, Prime HD, Digital voice) $79.99 no contract, YMMV
Just checked availability of Verizon FiOS for my parents in the Bronx (Zip 10467) and it came up $79.99/month 1 year price lock, without a contract. Contract price is $89.99 with a 2 year contract.
Package includes 1 SD box for free.
Looks like they are now including some DLNA access from DLNA enabled devices, most likely without the need to rent a box.
So, if you have an old SD TV and a new DLNA enabled TV, you may be able to get away without having to rent boxes.
CableCard rental is $3.99/month for CableCard enabled devices like Ceton InifniTV4, SiliconDust Home Run Prime, and Hauppauge CableCard tuner, or TiVO.
This is what the check out page looks like for months 1 through 12.
Same package is $84.99 for my area (zip 14221) so YMMV.
