Amazon Kindle Paperwhite $83.99 + Tax

Last month my local OD stores claim never to have had the Paperwhite yet. None show it in stock now either. I would have gotten one with the $50 off Best Buy coupon.

Paid full price at Amazon, but happy for my wife who loves it better than the Kindle w/ keyboard, the touch, and the fire (non-HD).

Try using the coupon at staples. Some staples accepts competitor coupons, some don't... Worth a try if your OD is OOS

the OD manager was so nice to put in an order for me even though they never carried it in stock and honored the coupon. Now they will ship to my house. Thanks a lot for the deal.

I went to Office Max and apparently they don't carry the kindle paperwhite.

I went to Office Depot and the lady in training thought I was there to buy "paperwhite" paper because she'd never heard of a kindle before. It was pretty funny. They didn't have it in stock at all and weren't able to order it for me.

The Stapes I went to doesn't take printed competitor coupons (they have to be the mailed ones) and even if I had a mailed one they said couldn't apply it to kindles.

So hopefully someone else had better luck!

I had the same experience at office depot. I told them my friend ordered one even the home depot does not have them in stock, they told me that they could not do that.

What places would normally take OD coupons? I tried microcenter and they said no. Best buy?

I went to Staples today and after talking to the manager they were going to match the coupon as long as Office Depot had the product in stock. When they called the store they did not have any and said the Kindle was listed in their system as a clearance item. They said they tried to order some for customers, but they had none in the warehouse. Staples thought maybe this was due to the recent merger with Office Max.

I've been to 2 different office max store th hat have a sign up for the preordering the paper white but when I asked about it they said its not available

Paperwhite and all reading devices that use the EPD technology is considered an eReader not a tablet. Why? Because it is not used for browsing the web or other things that a tablet can do.

Could someone post a better quality receipt than OP, ideally from a place closer to WA? I'd like to print and show it at Staples since they claim that Kindle is a tablet and hence can't apply.
