I am in college right now... When did you go? I thought full HD was just recent within these last few yrs.

But fwiw, even with HD3000 graphics, HD videos lagged a bit and took time to encode through as well.

This is always a sourch of aggravation when shopping for a laptop with dedicated graphics. Exactly which version of the GT 630M does this unit come with? There is a very significant difference in graphics performance depending on which version you get. Not to mention variations of clock speed within each version. I can't seem to find out the specifics anywhere. Does anyone know this info?

Always assume the worst with these types of laptops. These aren't marketed as gaming machines. They're going to put in the cheapest components

Dedicated, but not exactly a great card. With most current games, you'll mostly be limited to low-to-medium settings.

So basically HD40000 is around the same class?

almost all the laptop are good for college......you can watch porn, go online and copy stuff from wiki..etc...
