Good deal, but wondering if these are better than Grado?

Bought these for my wife about a year ago, she is very picky in terms of comfort, not as much with sound quality, and she has been really happy. They come with a nice case, cable's solid. If you don't need the i-device stuff and the mic though, I think the AKG k67 [amazon.com] are a better buy for only $10 more.

I bought a pair last year, in my quest for the ultimate headphone (without spending a fortune).

Sound: The sound is perfect, IMO. Thick, heavy bass, but not ridiculous. I love the Klipsch sound, so if you have any other products and like the mix, you'll get the same quality.

Comfort: Pretty comfortable. Although it is classified as "on ear" I found it to actually be slightly "over ear". My ears are normal size for an adult, and they slip right over the edges and against my head. I do feel like I need to remove them after about 30 minutes for a quick ear rub, but then, back in business.

Swag: They are really sharp looking, with nice copper toned accents and a translucent wire revealing the copper wiring. You can see the pics for yourself. The case is nice, a hard canvas type.

Bottom Line: I am completely happy with them, and am scared to listen to any other headphones that might possibly be better, so I don't risk finding anything better... and spend more money. Fantastic headphones at a great price.

How's the quality of the cable? Does it feel like the Reference S4/S4i cable? The S4 cable is too stiff IMO.

Bought these last year for $75 from this seller on ebay. I echo nicks thoughts. Great sound quality with Klipsch's sound signature and comparable to anything in the $100-200 range. I also had the Image Ones and those had much too heavy bass. Bass is milder on these but still thick. I find I prefer other phones for quiet office work, but these are excellent for travelling when you need to drown out low frequency noise. Pretty comfortable, for me it fits squarely on the ear. But the cups don't have much rearwards tiltability, so if the rear side of your ears are further apart than the front side (like mine) it can be a bit wearying (30 min breaks like nick said).

It is pretty stiff, like speaker cable. I read somewhere about wrapping the cable around a warm mug to straighten and loosen it out.

Yes. I own both. They are identical. It is a little stiff and plasticy.
