Taken from a travel blog. http://boardingarea.com/blogs/fre...red-spend/ Had seen someone at sd really pushing this way to pay don't know how good it is. Last edited by RiversMerge; 03-22-2013 at 08:25 AM.. Reason: linky All our knowledge has its origins in our perceptions.

Just have to share this awesome win!
March 1 - applied for plus and premier cards. March 8 - received them both March 8. March 13 - paid for wedding venue with a card March 15 - paid for honeymoon with the other card Today - transfer money from savings to pay for both cards. About 105,000 rapid rewards points in a matter of two weeks! No interests paid! With my existing 3,500 RR points, the companion pass is within reach! See Dave Ramsey, responsible credit card use is possible.

In a year, if I were to plan on traveling to somewhere in the States for vacation after France, would it be better off for me to apply for the SW card and build long term credit with it? Sorry for being such a noob in these travel cards. Again, thanks in advance! |

Congratulations for getting rewards. But dude, you are screwed for lifetime with step #3. No credit card is going to compensate for your loss. (Just kidding. But being married guy myself, I feel your pain in advance). Like many SDers, I like to boast about my Slickdeal too:

Can anyone tell me why I am unable to log in to the Rapid Rewards Shopping portal? I have a login and password that works on the rest of the site, but whenever I go to the shopping portal, it logs me out, and no matter how many times I log in, it just logs me out and sends me back to the main page.
EDIT: Nevermind, it apparently hadn't 'linked' my rapid rewards account. It didn't think I was enrolled, so I just re-enrolled and it worked and tied it to my existing number. Last edited by Vertical; 03-21-2013 at 07:15 PM.. |

With taxes due around the corner, just wanted to remind people that if you go through the SW shopping portal, you can file your taxes with TurboTax and earn 1,000 RR points, effectively eliminating the need to spend an extra $1000 to qualify for the CP (unless I'm completely missing something). Also looks like you can send $30 flowers through Teleflora (again through SW) and that will also net you another 1,000 RR points that would've otherwise required $1,000 in money spent!
HTH people meet their point needs without using too much money! |
