I think you should check your math. A 1% increase in gas mileage takes it to 30.3 mpg and the dollars saved is only about $6.00. 2% better would be $12. But, MOST people would also go longer between oil changes with synthetic so you could figure in extra savings based on that.

Last time the rebate is supposed to be for walmart purchased based on people's discussion here. However the rebate form didn't mention that so I send my AAP purchase receipt for the rebate and I got it without any problem.

Just to confirm, the on-line submission asked for store number, register number, transaction number. If all this is submitted, form w/ tracking number is generated. Instructions says to print out form for your record. Nothing to send in, correct? (ie, UPC, form, receipt, etc.). I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here.

Sweet if this is all it takes, saves me a stamp, etc.

You are correct wise one. WTH was I thinking? Anyway yes make it 7500 vs 5000 mile oil changes now you have 1-1/2 changes of conventional vs 1 change for synthetic which is entirely reasonable. So $6 would be $9 at 1% and $18 at 2% which probably covers the price difference and if you do you own that is one less time per every three of conventional oil changes. I hope I got that math right!

Same here. This must be the most convenient rebate I've done, besides Staples. Is there really no proof that must be sent in?

At my local WalMart 5W-30 Pennzoil Platinum 1.25Gal/5qt/4.73L was $22.47 after tax. I purchased the last one with the $10 by Mail (MIR) & $5off Next purchase FORM

People are dumb (insert your favorite curse word here). The idiots removed the $10 Mail In Rebate/$5off coupon form from the jugs thinking they could get the $5off immediately. If you look closely at the front of the jugs, left of the Pennzoil symbol/label you will see the fading from where the stickied form was located.

FYI you don't need the form to get the $10 MIR or the $5off coupon as long as you can upload your receipt, and complete the form at www.penzoil.com/rebate

So you pay the $22.47 plus tax (Prices vary at each store so YMMV) and get $10 MIR

So for your first 5qt jug its $12.47
Your second 5qt jug is $22.47-$5.00=$17.47
Total for 10qts is $29.94 plus tax ($2.94 per quart for quality oil)

But wait it gets better you can get 2 Redemptions per household so another $10 Rebate means

$19.94 for 10 Quarts of oil!!! $1.99 per quart!

Just bought 2 yesterday... Did the Advance Auto Rebate online today. Going to try to double dip... Sending in the Pennzoil rebate tomorrow. Really got nothing to lose. The $30.00 deal was already a really good deal on Synthetic and K&N. If I can get back $20 per 5 quart jug, that will be great. That would mean $10 per oil change of synthetic and a high-end filter.

I am going to try and double dip, since AAP rebate does not need physical receipt.
