Is the price automatically changed to $29.99 when you buy both in store?

Good deal. I checked the rebate page on AAP web, it's there. Limit 2, so I can buy two sets for both of my cars.
Yes. The price was adjusted at the counter or automatically came up. I didn't have to do anything. Of course, sales tax was added. I also processed my rebate electronically. I thought that the link would print out a form for me to mail, but apparently they will process it in 3-5 weeks electronically.

There are $10 rebate forms on 5qt jugs at Walmart. $12 after rebate for Platinum. $16 AR for Ultra.

I use aftermarket filters on my Nissan Altima. Currently use K&N (B1G1 Free ends today! at Pep Boys).

I use factory filters on my KIA Optima (Hyundai/KIA make top-notch filiters)

I was at Wally World twice last week to buy Platinum and none of the bottles had the forms. They didn't have any at the auto center desk either.

Since rebate is 10$, I am asuming that when I'll add both oil and filter in my cart, price should be $29.99 but I am seeing $53.98. What am I missing? Also on page 4 there are two different event code (1016323 & 1016324) one shows "$10 rebate on Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic Oil and K&N filter oil change special" and other says "$10 rebate on (5) qts of Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic Motor Oil and a K&N Oil Filter (items must be purchased on same transaction)". Again which one is the correct. BTW I am buying part # 550028525 and part # HP-1003.

There are a lot of claims about MPG improvement. 50% as one poster stated not-with-standing, it seems you can expect a 2% increase in MPG [mnsu.edu]. Is that worth the added price of synthetic without even adding the wear of the car argument? Try a 1% increase on a car that gets 30 mpg on conventional using a 5,000 mile oil change for regular and synthetic. Using a gas price of $3.75 a gallon 1% amounts to $5.70 per 5000 miles.

That's used for the rebate. 1 code is for the 5 qt jug + filter. The other code is for the 5-1 qt bottles + filter

Nice. My car is due for an oil change. I'm going to stop by after work and grab this. I prefer synthetic oil. I had used Mobile 1 religiously until the last few years when the price skyrocketed. $8+ a quart is insane!

I drive an older vehicle, 2003 Buick Century with 135,000 miles on it.

Just saw this online. $10 rebate and $5 off your next purchase directly from Penzoil!

Will pick some up at walmart since I dont need any more filters.

I don't know about the oil filter but absolutely love the oil. Before switching to the Platinum version, I just used the regular Penzoil 5w20 and I typically got about 150 miles for half the tank of gas.

After switching to Platinum, I can now get to 230-245 miles for half the tank of gas. Significant gas mileage improvement. While driving on the freeway at 65 MPH, I notice the engine makes less "roaring" rev noise as well. When changing oil at 7k miles or so (for the sake of dirty oil filter, not because of the oil), the oil is still yellowish versus almost black on the regular dino oil. I'm sure if my car engine can talk, it would surely thank me for switching to this Platinum version from the old dino oil.
I SERIOUSLY doubt your miles per gallon increased that dramatically just from a change in oil type.

The receipt doesn't need anything special. Just go to the website that is mentioned below the original post. It's easy
