I am getting tired of this kind of thread. It is not only YMMV, it comes up every week. Basically, they give away bonus points randomly to SYWR customers all the time. It is useless to post this as most SYWR customers would not get the bonus at the same time.

Feb,26 I was given 3,000 points for being a Valued Member - Redeem in Kmart
but it was never added to my account.It's been 2 days and its still not in my account and doesn't say it has expired in my Account activity either.  Why give me points and then not let me use them?

I've read many posts from people complaining they had free points that expired because nobody ever notified them. Also, I put "YMMV" in the title so people would not have to waste their time entering this thread, but that obviously failed.

Sears only seems to give the random points to members who have little to no remaining points balance after making a purchase.
Best way to get these points seems to be constantly using points so you never have many, which makes sense, keep giving people who spend them an incentive to keep spending them. |

Yeah, I just burned through all my saved points this past weekend, and now I got my first free points for 2013. Back in 2012, I would use them up right away.
