I got one a couple of months ago, and it wasn't too bad after I had it tailored some in the store. I agree about the armholes though...they make the shoulder pads a little too pronounced. If you can afford better, I'd say go for it, but it works for me and my "college graduate getting ready for job interviews" price range.
"Biting my truant pen, cursing myself for spite, 'Fool,' said my Muse to me, 'Look in thy heart and write!'"
I bought one of these Alfani RED suits when they were this price a few months back. The suit actually looked fairly decent (for the price), and I really wanted to keep it, but alas I had to return. There is an issue with the armholes which cause the shoulder to fly off. You'll see when you try it on - hold your arm straight out in front of you as if you are pointing at something. The shoulder pad will fly up and whack you on the head.
Alfani stuff is weird. It either fits you really well or makes you look like a clown. I have an Alfani suit that fits me absolutely perfect (6'3", broad shoulders, and long torso), but I have shirts of theirs that are so tight around the armpits that I feel like I'm going to rip them. Their stuff can be nice, but I've learned not to pick my size off the rack and head to checkout without trying it on first. I recommend trying on in person.
