Did you try changing it from the main Amazon acct (not the Payment one)?

I thought the Amazon acct name had to match the Bank acct name in order to make bank withdrawals? If bank withdrawals haven't been made, then there may not yet be a red flag on the acct as to different identities. If that's the case, then (if it were me) I might provide my mom's DL in order to get the acct released, then I'd stop using the acct -- and when the dust settles start a new one in my sister's name. If your sister's bank acct has been used and Amazon is already aware of the diff identities on the acct, then I probably would still provide my mom's DL to see if that satisfies them. If it doesn't or if you don't want to involve your mom further, then you could provide your sister's DL and -- if asked -- she could explain that she and your mom started the acct together and that your mom's DL can also be provided if needed. If they don't like the shared arrangement, your sister could tell them that she'll open a separate acct on her own and stop using your mom's acct.

Yeah I did try, but no go. I'll go with what you suggested, since my sister has already withdrawn, and send them my moms DL.

yes, you can. gift card is treated the same as credit card.

Do they allow you to use credit cards to purchase these? I know safeway doesnt...

i have never ever heard of this being a problem... when i swipe my card they don't even know know if it's debit, credit or gift card... they never see it or touch it. all they care about is the last 4 digits.
