Transgender Girl's Parents Lobby for Her Right to Use the Bathroom

I'm not sure what's wrong with being proud of and enjoying your kids, even if they have disabilities?

Or is it that the transgendered child is the neuro-typical one?

Maybe I'm off-base with my assumption that girls and women probably don't go into the bathroom flashing their private parts for the entire bathroom audience to see? Private parts are just that - private. Go to your stall and do your business in private and be done. Why is this so earth shattering - because we as adults have a stigma about boys and girls using the same facilities?

It's probably less bad in women's restrooms where everyone always gets a private stall.



The issue obviously gets worse at the middle school level when kids start showering after PE.

I don't recall an example along those lines. I know of quite a few left wing folks that match your story though. Especially out in the Hollywood area.

I don't know the reason we started seperating boys and girls. The only logical reason I can come up with is to prevent sex, pregnancy, and intimate contact in post-pubesent kids. I know that doesn't apply to 6 year olds, but keeping it consistent would make sense. If that is the case, I don't know what to do with gays. The only solution would be to have a few of those unisex handicap bathrooms and have the "others" use that bathroom solo.

Straight/Pre-Sexual-Awareness Boys room
Straight/Pre-Sexual-Awareness Girls room
Handicap/Anyone Solo Room

Or just put them all in one damn room, no descrimination.
