Reading what I've read since my original post, I find them less of a 'freakshow' in the entertaining way, and more of a 'sad, look at those kids and their unfortunate situation being born to those parents' sort of way, but I'd rather have them fail at reality TV than be on the government dole.

That's the bad side of the internet. Before Al Gore gave us the miracle of the interwebs, if you had some wonky ideas you were usually left to yourself and no one was the wiser. Now-a-days you can find virtually any "group" to belong to and engage in discussions with like minded people. All this hiving of similar interests is usually fine, but in extreme cases I can see the insane ideas that are supported and encouraged in these groups. People need to learn when to step back from the computer. It's a useful tool, but not a substitute for human friendships/interactions.

It's bad enough reading about it, there is no way I would watch (and thereby contribute) to this insanity. It just promotes more insanity and dependencies on others.
