Ummm, no, Amazon has tax in many states, Rockauto does not. And there is almost always a 5% discount available at RA. Even with shipping, pads come out cheaper for me at RA than Amazon, hence the comparison

When new rotors are purchased, they do come with cross hatching and THEN you "should" replace the pads because the old pads might not seat properly with the new rotors.

These are ceramic pads. If you have determined that your disks are not warped and have not reached minimum thickness and not otherwise damaged, there is no reason under the sun that you should replace the rotors just because you are replacing your pads. Just make sure you follow the recommended bedding-in process for the ceramic pads. Will it be like brand new? No, but if you read your service manual and follow the inspection procedure properly and complete the bedding-in process properly, the performance difference will be negligible.. PERIOD


The only people who would advise anything else just wants you to spend more money for no good reason...

I'm a noob when it comes to car parts. If I need front and rear brakes, do I just by two of these or are there different types for front vs. rear?

Last time I bought something from Autozone was brake rotors. Those were to replace my warped ones. Little did I know that their duralast rotors came pre-warped for my convenience.

Having said that, I see no slick deal in those pads. For my Odyssey, rebate brings price down to like 32 bucks, when a good tried and always working acdelco ceramic pads are $20, prime eligible. I don't know what's so good about those wagner pads, but I can't think of anything to make it a slick deal, seriously.

I'm pretty sure those are front pads, your car most likely comes with drum brakes in the rear.

Easiest way to do this is look up what vehicle you have on Amazon at the top. Then go to brake pads and it will automatically tell you which pads you need for the Front and what you need for the Rear. Wagner TQ front and rear will be clearly labeled.

Plug in your vehicle information and they will give you all the options. Remember, the rebate is only good for the Thermquiet ceramic pads.


When you have the model numbers for your front and rear pads, go to amazon and search for each set by model number, add to cart. This way you know you have purchased the right parts for your car.
