be aware
wagner is refusing to process rebates without original receipt and amazon.com ships item with no receipt, print out isnt acceptable for rebate, so this rebate is totally invalid.
3/25/2013 UPDATE: My rebate status has been updated:
Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing. Please allow up to 30 days to receive your rebate.

YOUR POST IS FALSE.... See below pulled directly from the rebate redemption site:

"Original receipts only. Online purchases must include the original packing slip. To complete rebate processing, the Rebate Redemption Certificate must be submitted along with the original receipt validating the purchase of the qualifying Wagner ThermoQuiet product(s)."

You can easily print out the Amazon receipt by logging into your account and going to the Your Orders section at top right of page. Find the item you bought and on far left is link to INVOICE. Print that and send it along with the packing slip.
Call the rebate fulfillment house if you dont trust me... 1-855-278-7987.

Their fine prints state, "Online purchases must include the original packing slip." BUT I WAS NOT GIVEN A PACKING SLIP FROM AMAZON as always. What shall I do?
Their 855 number is an automated system. no person there. Their rebate center chat is always "Unavailable"

WTF - $30 off if you purchase front and rear pads, but $50 is you do this and get them INSTALLED PROFESSIONALLY. The line between a rebate and a kickback is getting really thin here.

Good luck on the rebate. I got these last time and had to resubmit the paperwork after being 'lost' in processing. I STILL never got mine back and another call after the second submission.

I'd never buy pads without a lifetime wear-and-tear warranty, unless I was leasing or something.

Compared to Advanced Auto Parts, are these two still cheaper after coupon?

Not sure if this would work, but I quickly read over the rebate info from the link and also from the rebate webpage and it doesn't say that the purchase has to be made from Amazon. Advance Auto sells these pads as well and they have some pretty serious coupons that can be applied.

An example for me was my rear pads for my vehicle were $70 at AdvanceAuto - $25 with coupon A124 -$15 rebate = $30. I was hoping this would work out to near free, but no...

I'll stick with my $20 metallic wearever pads that squeal like crazy, but stop smoother than any other pad I've ever had.

I don't know if its my driving or these pads, but these seem to wear out rather quickly compared to previous ones. Anyone have similar experience with these wagner brake pads?

I am due for new pads, what is considered the best? Amazon seems to point to "Akebono". This would be for a 99 Camry. I believe its a front wheel drive, so only the front need pads?

These should be sufficient enough for your daily driver. You don't need racing brake pads. Do a little research on whether or not you have drum brakes in the back. Check websites like autozone or advanced auto parts. They will tell you.

After talking with mechanics, checking the forums and reading magazine reviews, I went with Raybestos Professional Semi-Metallic pads. What you need is good linings without some substance that doesn't work well with your standard rotor material. Most of the things like ceramic pads, OEM grade or carbon metallic usually aren't meant for your rotor material and do more harm than good,

This might be a stupid question, but is this one brake pad each, or the pair?
