Are these any good? Looking at the unit for an 04 Camry, they would be 15 AR.

On the subject of brake pads (dura last ceramic) I just bought mine from autozone (20% off if you buy $100+ and free shipping) also new rotors. The pads have a lifetime warranty and from what I've read are pretty decent. So $50 for the life of the car, not too shabby.

The best pads are the super expensive (your car's make) "dealer pads". Just remember to have the rotors cut or replace the rotors/drums, otherwise the pads make noise and wear out fast. If the rotors arent cut by the right person, they will make noise or vibrate.
Wagner has always made great brake parts. Bosch makes everything great!

I got the same brand for my 07 camry
Their braking power is negligible at par with OEM or bosch
They tend to warp the rotors really bad
Tjey generally last 6mos of stopngo freeway driving even with lifetime warrnty I would rather buy a decent brake pads than duralast I plan not to buy duralast ever again with all hardware included as a perk

What exactly does lifetime warranty mean with brake pads? After they wear down you get another pair?

I ran these pads and the only complaint I have is that when cold, they care a little noisy. After your first stop from full speed they are quite. Virtually no break dust.

You can get them cheaper at RockAuto.com by around $5-$7 per axle. The rebate is valid there too.
Rebate is valid only on the ThermoQuiet line, not on the QuickStop or SevereDuty lines.
Use the 5% Discount Code, 710F1AC6FB23 thet expires on 03/24/2013. Enter this code in the 'How Did You Hear about Us' box to receive discount.
You may save on tax also if Amazon charges tax in your state and RockAuto does not.

This is not true. Inspect your rotors and see how they look, which will depend on your driving style, how long you left your old pads on, etc. They may or may not need turned/replaced. Turning rotors is not a difficult job, so if you find someone who knows how to do it, they're not gonna mess it up.

Oh, did they waive your shipping fee because your are a friend of them?

Shipping makes it the same total price as Amazon

Lifetime warranty on brake pads only means that IF they wear out due to manufacture defect - NOT if they wear out like they are supposed to. A brake pad has friction material on it that is supposed to by design wear away as they are used - thats not a defect, thats what they are designed to do and is NOT covered by "lifetime warranty". Sometimes you will get a dumb clerk at a parts store who doesnt know any better and swaps em out but to me not worth the gamble. Just buy name brand parts like Wagner, Raybestos, Bosch or AC Delco and you will be fine!

Even with the shipping fee and using the 5% discount my price, with NO TAX, it was almost $5 cheaper than Amazon, where I would pay tax, for both axles' pads.

Each case may be different depending on your tax situation as I originally stated.

This might be a stupid question, but is this one brake pad each, or the pair?
Brake pads and brake shoes are always sold in sets meaning one "set" takes care of one axle - either front or rear. So order 1 set for the front and 1 set for the rear = 2 boxes.
Make sure you either replace or resurface the rotors or drums or else the pads will wear out super fast and you may get vibration too when you brake. Frown
