Much higher quality. Between this and the skipjack tuna, it is probably the best canned tuna I have ever had. They do not press out all of the oil and then pack the tuna in water like most of all the other brands you buy at your regular market. Brands like chicken of the sea, 3 diamond, and starkist cannot even compare to this stuff. It would be like comparing dog food to the filet of canned tuna, at least IMO.

Is Wild Planet Albacore packed in water or oil?

Neither. We hand-cut and pack delicious sashimi grade tuna steaks. All the Omega 3 oils are retained and no liquid is added. This is 100% pure albacore tuna and sea salt in its own natural juices; please don't drain.
