Way to find the person of a cell phone #?

Long story short: Guy in a jeep backs into me in a strip mall parking spot. I was in a hurry, so he gave me his number and were going to not go through insurance, but he was going to pay. Well his supposed number goes directly to a generic voicemail system after a few rings. Is there a way to find out the owner of a cell #? I do know it's a T-Mobile # and I've tried a few pay sites but none of them got me any info and they refunded me the $.

Any help/sites greatly appreciated.


btw...I called the cops when it happened and they said since it happened in a 'private' parking lot, there's nothing they could do (except eat more donuts)

I'd get hold of the strip mall office and see if they have any video cameras for their parking lot. Some roll over every 30 days or so. If you are fortunate enough to get a picture you may be able to get a license or make /model of the car/picture of the driver. Take the pictures to the different shops in the strip mall to see if anyone recognizes the guy. A picture of the car's license obviously would be great too. What's the phone number? If it's his real cell number wtf does anyone care if you make it public?

You could use your uninsured area of your insurance. But you have to know who it was.

Great idea - although it's a pretty small strip mall - but I'll check. The # he gave me - and 'claimed' his name was 'Daryl' is 425-322-6597 - and looking at my T-Mobile call logs, it's based in Everett, WA.
